A September to Remember

There are a bunch of these things in the initial 12 days of September that provide for a remarkable thrust forward for adaptive water skiing and adaptive sports in general.   It is like the 12 days of Christmas, but it is only September.

Adaptive water skiing has found its place with both the Browns Lake Aquaducks' and the Pewaukee Lake Water Ski Club's water ski shows.   This provided a great integration over Labor Day weekend.   Wednesday September 9th (9-9) was a marvelous day at Fischer Park Browns Lake Burlington with a half of a dozen guest got to use a sit ski for their water skiing experience.   The approach of adaptive water skiing has been providing an all-inclusive approach making water skiing available to EveryBODY!!

Friday Sept. 11th is the Lauderdale Lakes Aqua Skiers project collaborating with Minneiska Ski Show Team, and water skiers from Wausau.     Rick Legois of the Browns Lake Aquaducks and Lynzay Legois Memorial will also be there to provide boat power and supply the Joski Ski adaptive water ski.      It is an all abilities learn to ski morning from 9-11:30 and then by 1 PM there will be an exhibition water ski show for the enriching experience to the Lakeland School student, faculty, and staff.     Ms. Wheelchair Illinois traveled from Illinois on Wednesday to make the Fischer Park event as well as the Lutherdale Bible Camp event with Aqua Skiers and Lakeland School in Elkhorn.

We are getting a lot of attention from press in Wisconsin Rapids, Racine County, and otherwise in Wisconsin.    USA Today has picked up on these dynamics through Gannett Co., Inc.

Saturday September 12th is the Scott Coley Memorial Open will be hosting adaptive water skier Autumn Neugent of the Colsac Skiers Adaptive Ski School.

Thank you to the Lynzay Legois Free Water Skiing Club and Colsac Skiers Adaptive Ski School for making these things possible.
